Default stripped flywheel bolt removal

well i was taking off my flywheel and stripped the head of one of the bolts, it is the last one i need. does anyone know a way to get it out? i was using a 12 point socket but that what striped it. now the hex head 5 point maybe or 6? wont work either any suggestions??

you need a 6 point socket(prefferably an impact socket) that is slightly smaller and hammer it on. thats your only option or gring off the head and get the rest out after you take off the flywheel. if that is not an option you can drill it and keep up sizing until you get to about 90% of the dia of the bolt and try an easy out. doubt that will work though cause they are really tight. good luck

if it's too rounded, you can get some reverse style easy outs and use them with an impact wrench. Should take it right out. Craftsman sells them

I had that problem (mine werent totaly gone yet) and one we had to use a vise grip. Have you tried that yet?

tried vise grips didnt work, just slid right off. But the bolt out on the other hand is amazing. took it off with ease. thank you
