Default improper flywheel resurfacing?

can it cause a lot of vibration? ever since my clutch install and have the flywheel resurfaced, the car has shook pretty rough from about 1500 rpm up. if i remember correctly, i think the douche broke off one of those little pegs on the flywheel also.

yeh. that's what i was thinking. i've been tryin to figure out this vibration thing for a long time now, but today it just hit me that it almost has to be the flywheel. the engine runs strong with no misfires, so i knew it wasn't that. and the vibration stops when i push the clutch in and the engine speed drops, so that cancels out driveshaft or wheel balancing...so i'm gonna start lookin for a new flywheel.

After the flywheel was resurfaced it should have been checked for zero balance, then the flywheel and pressure plate should have been balanced. Otherwise you will likely get vibration.

Thats up to you. How bad is the vibration? And does it go away when you push in the pedal? Read up Ram's Clutch university theres a TON of good information in there.

Get a new flywheel. The pins in the flywheel are there to make sure the pressure plate is properly centered on the flywheel. If you're missing dowels from the flywheel there's no way to guarantee centering the PP. They'll balance it, you'll unbolt it, install it, and it wont be centered the right way and it'll be out of balance. If I were you I'd have them paying for it. You would have to do something really stupid to break off one of the dowels.
