Default Question about t56 rebuild

I have a H/C 347 with the stock 3.42 rearend. I don't do much drag racing and never on a slick.
The t56 is due for a rebuild and I was thinking about going with the lower ratio first gear. Any comments on this.

You'd have to replace counter shaft, input, 2nd, 3rd, 1st. Not worthwhile IMO.
