Default shifter vibrating in 3rd

yeah so i think this started recently. my shifter vibrates while in the 3rd gear position when accelerating. and only when accelerating. when my hands off the shifter i can actually see it vibrating in the shifter gate. is this a problem or my imagination.

Maybe all my junk is screwed up but I have never seen a shifter that did not vibrate a little, is it jumping around alot or just barely moving?

rough guess maybe it vigrates about 1/8 in or less left and right of center while in the gate under acceleration. it almost looks like a back massager type or vibration, very high frequency.

I drove the 6 to work today, I will try and remember to take a glance at the shifter and see how much movement I have.

To follow up the previous posts, My shifter wobbles a pretty fair amount in 3rd and also every other gear, I don't think there is anything wrong though cause it seems to shift good and everything.

sounds normal to me. every rear wheel drive car that i have ever driven has had a lil shake it it. Unless it starts popin out of gear Or it gets violent i would not worry. I drive mine every day and i dont even notice it any more.
