Default 3rd Gear Vibration -- Worn Clutch or Transmission Problem?

I have a 98 6-speed Corvette, and I just noticed a vibration that is only happening with mid to high rpms in 3rd gear. All other gears are normal, but I get a nasty vibration in 3rd gear when I give it a decent amount of throttle. I have an ATI procharger, so I am no where near stock (~500 rwhp). Also, my clutch is definitely beginning to wear out. When I get on it in any way at all, I can smell the clutch. I plan to change out the clutch soon, but I am wondering if this third gear vibration can be caused by an old clutch. Again, it only occurs in third gear. I have a Hurst shifter that gives little to no vibrations normally. However, now I can really feel it in third gear.

Any thoughts?

I had that problem in an fbody. It turned out to be the pilot bearing. Mine would make noise too, but not all the time and usually only in fourth gear. If it turns out to be the pilot bearing it should be replaced soon because the bearing will in time become pulvarized. When this happens it can ruin the imput shaft.
