So i changed my tranny fluid a few weeks ago. No probs with that. I used Mobil 1 atf. and right after i changed it i noticed that shifting to different gears was kinda hard. like it didn't want to go in or something?? i figured it was just temporarly because i just changed the fluid, but it's still doing it (5 wks later). the fluid was also changed back sometime ago with the same exact mobil 1, with no problems shifting what so ever......soooo did i do something wrong? is this a classic sign that something else might be wrong inside the tranny? maybe syncros? thanks in advance

u put mobil 1 in your tranny? dextron III red fluid...... is the stock fluid

Yes Mobil 1 ATF as he said is fine. It is the synthetci ATF that will work.

i put synthetic in mine (red line) had to take it out, it shiffted like crap.

i used the same fluid before with no problems like this in my last tranny fluid change. could it maybe be the synco's?

I use the RP Synchro Max. I have some stiffness in 1-2 shift and back into first. Still breaking in, but it's been 400 miles. Figured it would have loosened up by now.
