4th gear hates me, want to upgrade, ideas... My 4th gear is grinding everytime I slam it, and after talking to some of the guys, and the trans guy, we've come to the conclusion that my 4th gear is going, we're replacing the gear, carbon fiber synchros all around, and a steel fork from 3rd to 4th. I am also going to replace my clutch. I figured that since i'm tearing into all of it, I might as well upgrade. What can I really do? I dont know anything about transmissions really. I like how the clutch feels now, so I dont want one of those super short clutche, but any suggestions?

Sometimes the fluid you run can cause gears to grind. But, I am willing to bet that the sliders/blockers are worn out, bearings are dried out, and or the shift fork is tweaked just a bit or bent alot.
Clutch for that feeling would be a Ram or Centerforce. You might want to consider an adjustable master cylinder for that slight adjustment to get the engagement/disengagement right for you.
