Default RAM 402/6180 w/McLeod adj M/C in!

This clutch is awesome. It grabs hard! There is quite a bit more pedal effort but I can handle it. I have ZERO chatter whatsoever! I love it. I just have to get use to the lower engagement point I set it to but other than that it's great.

I plan on a 400 mile break-in period, does this seem like sufficient time?

I'd like to personally thank Harlan for all of the help he's given me about this clutch. Also, thanks to Thunder Racing for getting me my M/C <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . I can't wait to spray my 150 shot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Z06 Corvette]" title="" src="graemlins/z06.gif" />

I waited 400 miles on my combo before ripping. I now get rubber in 4 gears. Best clutch I've ever had. Pedal is still nice and stiff. I get slight chatter on take off and reverse, but mainly when I'm slightly turning ( may be the T2R as well ).

I would adjust the release point to be high to be on the safe side. Otherwise you risk toasting your flywheel <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Cheers,

Chris, I thought the engagement should be closer than far away so you don't melt your disc to the flywheel?

Yes, by higher he means closer to you.

So, Viper, should it be more toward me or more toward the floor (engagement)

Initially mine was 1/2" off the floor. Literally right at the floor. After breakin, it rose a hair higher, maybe to 1". After reading the same type posts, I now have it at 2" from the floor.

"Just follow the master rod under your dash up to the top and loosen the set screw. turn the ROD ITSELF clockwise to raise the engagement point towards you or counterclockwise to move the engagement point towards the floor. You really want it to engage around the middle of the pedal travel." ( quoted from a search on ls1tech )
