I am putting my new tranny inmy car and am a little worried. I can't move the shifter side to side. It will only move up and down. I haven't bled the clutch yet and I also haven't started the engine yet or even cranked it over.(swap project, ls6 rx7) The transmission is used with very low miles and has a pro 5.0 shifter. Does it just need to be rotated or is it possible that something is wrong, or am I just being paranoid. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Something don't sound right, you should be able to dry shift all the gears.
Only reverse has the lockout that needs to be de-activated.
