What bellhousing for T-5 and LS1
I am in the process of doing a LS1 swap in a 89 240sx. I was planning on a T-56 but there 138lb weight is a liitle high. The T-5 weighs in at 80lbs. I really dont need 6speeds for this car and I would love to get a T-5 under the car. Does anyone know if a bellhousing is made that I can use a t-5 mated to a LS1. Thanks

Do yourself a favor and do the t-56 the gm t-5 is absoulte junk compared to the t-56. The t-5 cannot even hold a tpi 350 for long let alone the power of a ls1. Don't worry about the weight you are doing a 240 ls1 swap you don't need to worry about a few extra pounds by ensuring you won't need to pull your tranny every week if you do a t-5!

I'm going with a tremec tko-600 for my vette project. Strong but lighter than the t-56. Lakewood bellhousing part #15005 will mate the LS1 to the old-style trans.
