Where to get T-56 built?
D&D Perfomance and SMC Perfomance (AKA Valvegod) are the two best grooups to deal with.
The "upgrades" are actually just Viper original equipment. They are the 3-4 shifting fork and carbon fiber faced blocking rings. The shifing fork is on a three month backorder. I know of people using the cygrogenically treated parts with success and one guy having a output shaft machined for his application. SMC will also build you a tranny with triple cone scynros out of the Vette for durability. The last mod that I know of is that Liberty Transmission (manufactuer of planatery transmission) will "Pro Shift" your tranny so that you can shift faster, but it cuts down on the life of the tranny.

I would suggest D&D performance in Michigan. They are one of the only shops that I know of doing T56 upgrades (steel shift forks, cryo treating gears, etc...). A couple people in my area (including myself) have D&D rebuilt T56s with the upgraded stuff. Great shop!

Dont be freaked when the first page you see on their website is Mustang stuff <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Hope this helps

one was bulmenthal (sp?) mfg. talk to larry 405-232-9557. something like 1300 for a rebuilt with perf. parts.
another was american gear out of NY, don't have contact info.
I just contacted Tremec, who makes the t-56, and got recommendations for distributors.
