Default i cant figure out what it is...

my clutch has been making some weird noises, when i engage the clutch it makes some kind of weird noise, almost like a grinding noise at times. when i shift it also sounds like it whines. this is the stock clutch still and i have thrown some nitrous passes at it earlier this year, but not often.
any idea on what it could be?

Sounds like the throwout bearing. How many miles on the car?

should i replace the throwout bearing only? or should i wait for the money to get a new setup?

My car made a "rock tumbler" noise when I would let off off the clutch in neutral. It turned out to be a nick in the input shaft bearing when I got my tranny rebuilt. It also made a different grinding noise when I would press the clutch in sometimes at higher rpms. I thought that noise was the throwout bearing, but it turned out to be the pilot bearing falling apart.

The whining you hear when you shift could just be the synchros. Do you hear it when you're putting force on the shifter to get it in the next gear, or does it correspond to the clutch movement?

it whines more at higher rpms, i dont think its the synchros.
