Default play in t56 input shaft- is it normal??

Just pulled out my trans since i noticed i have a broken bellhousing (from a pressure plate that is falling apart), and I noticed my input shaft has quite a bit of play in it.

I was able to move it up and down about 1/8" or so, and left to right almost as much, I dont think this is normal...... Is it?

I plan on installing a new pilot bearing.

also there are no dealers in my area that have pressure plate bolts and flywheel bolts, am i a complete idiot if i reuse them?

thanks in advanve

a little bit of play in you rinput shaft is normal, but if you want you could take it to a trans shop just to have a guy take a quick peek at it.as for the bolts it is ok to reuse them just make sure that you wire wheel them good to get all the old loctite off them then just reapply some morewhen you reinstall them.just be very careful to follow torque specs <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />
