Tools for T56 rebuild. Please check.
Looking to spend just what I need in tools to rebuild my t56. I want to put the cash into the trans and not special tools that I do not use much. How are these?

I really do not know if these would work or not. What do you guys think? I am replacing all the bearings btw.

dont buy cheap snap ring pliers. the tips will break and leave you stuck. the money you spend on replacing broken ones on probably one tranny job would've bought you a good pair. and i personally dont know how much i would trust a harbor freight press or bearing splitter. i can just see one of them failing. a good press=a little more expensive, a good bearing splitter=a little more expensive, your safety=priceless.

Thanks for the post. I didn't know is 12 ton was enough and I wasn't sure about the size of the snap ring pliers either. I am going to run by Sears and see what they have.
