I was driving yesterday and I started to accelerate in 1st and I hear a thud, had the car towed to the tranny shop and I figured the clutch was gone and I have a new clutch so I was gonna have it installed. Trans shop called me today and said I have a broken input or output shaft, I don't remember.

I am trying to get this under warranty, but it is up in the air whether they will cover it or not.

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? When the inspector guy from GM comes to take a look at my car what should I tell him?
will they try and use my mods to void my warranty on my trans?

Technically they should fix it. None of your mods would have caused that problem. Then again, I was denied warranty replacement of bent pushrods because of a linelock.
For the expenses you're looking at it'd be worth it to fight them and make them fix it - if they balk at fixing it. They might do it no problem.
