Default MAJOR Problems with CARTEK!!!!!!

Ok here goes this is to see if anyoe else has had this problem. I ordered a complete Cartek clutch for my 2000 WS6 on July 29 because of this "special price" they were having. I was told by Dave that it would ship the next day UPS ground and that I should have it within two to three days later or at least by the end of the week. Well Friday rolls around and guess what no clutch. This is no major problem so I wait until half way through the next week and I still have no clutch.
I call Cartek back and again speak to Dave and he says hey man you aren't gonna believe this we ran out of parts for the discs because of the special and you and one other person did not get theirs because yall were the last ones to order under the special. Now I kid of thought this strange because when I ordered the special still had three days left but ok if you say so. I wait another week and call again and I'm told we still are out of parts and we are supposed to get the parts next week.
I wait again another week and I call back several times and get someone else and left my phone number several times for someone to call me back guess what never happened. I fianlly get dave again after it has now been over three and a half weeks and he says I don't know if it shipped or not and I'm not showing it in my computer let me take your number and call you back and tell you, but it should have shipped already. Well surprise surprise Dave never called.
I again called him back and he says I think it shipped last Friday but I cant find a tracking number. WTF???? check back tomorrow and I should have an answer. I call back and now to my amazement Dave has left for Vacation and will not be back until the week after Labor Day! and to make it worse no one else there knows about anything that has been shipped.
So you are telling me that Dave goes on Vacation and no one else can find out if my part shipped. Well Hulio can call back and talk to him later he works in shipping.
Well after talking to Hulio today at about 2:00pm he said this "let me have you number so I can call you back and let me see if i can find anything out". Sounds familiar huh!! Amazingly enough his voice sounded just like the person that told me to call back and talk to him. Well as no surprise to me Hulio NEVER CALLED!!!!!!!!
To make all of this worse I just got off the phone with another local F-Body owner and he got the same run around from Cartek and it took him two months before he got his after Fed-Ex lost it. Yeah right!!!!! not to start a flame as it is called but I remember recently when another LS1Tech member had a problem like this and everyone got together and helped. I hope this is all just a big mix-up by Cartek but it sure dosen't sound like it.

I can't believe that no one else answered yet this is a major company supposedly reputable. I would think that after I spent $800 that I would get more and better service from them has no one else had this problem?

I know your pain man. The story sounds to familiar. All the people I know that have ordered the Cartek have had bad customer service woes.

Get a refund and get a RAM.....

I am the one who waited two months for my clutch when it was supposedly lost by Fed Ex. Funny thing is that they (Cartek) would never give me a tracking number for this "lost" clutch. I don't know how many times I gave them my phone number to call me "right back with the info". Hell, I even gave them my 800 number so it wouldn't cost them anything. They just forgot I suppose. They didn't forget to charge my credit card on the same day I ordered "the last one" they had in stock.

OK, I've got my flame suit on and I'm ready. Say what you will about how great they are and how great their product is. I don't care. They may be the best guys in the world but customer service speaks volumes. Also, I'm not saying their product is bad. I will say that again. I'm not saying their product is bad. I am pleased with the clutch but I will never order from them again because of the way I was jerked around. Hell, the whole experience reminded me of dealing with Bill Heard Chevy's service Dept.

OK New Jersey, tell me how fucked up I am for not being pleased with this ordeal.

Chad, I went through the same thing last year I think the clutch was most likely in back order but don't understand why wouldn't they tell us the truth though, I mean...wtf?? if the wait time is 3 to 4 weeks then be it, just be honest and let us know!!!!

Get a refund and get the RAM. Call Mike and tell him your car setup and he will make sure you are using the right disc. I have the 402/6130 combo.....very aggressive but it holds.

Welcome to the shitty world of Cartek customer service...I took them 2 months to get me my damn clutch!! All I got was the run around from those dipshits. I love the clutch, but hate their CS.

well, I have no problems with their customer service or getting a clutch from them. But it burned out pretty quick and helped destroy my tranny. Their Master Cylinder is a POS.

Well I called again this morning and Roy is working. i tell him that I want my money back since I still don't have my clutch and he says that I will have to speak with Hulio because he does not handle any shipping issues or any of that. He states that Hulio will be in around 2:00pm and he takes my number for him to call me back. Been here before!!
I guess we will wait and see. So now I just need to know who to call to get a clutch ASAP for my car. I think someone said a while back that a RAM with McLeod master worked great someone tell me the one place to call to get all of the parts at once if this is feasible.

How can we have problems if we all get the same BS from them from Fed-ex lost it to can't find it in the comp to we'll call you back.

I have no doubt that you may have not had any problems but we did. I don't doubt the product is of good quality either just the Customer Service SUCKS

I ordered from them because I was told it wa a good clutch but they should be able to get me a clutch in less than a month especially when they originally tell me 3-4 days total.

I got a full 12 bolt from Moser in 9 days so you tell me. All I'm saying is that they keep telling me things and never follow through with any of it. Like many would say opinions are like a**holes everyone has one!!! This one so far seems to be the opinion of many. Say what you want you are definitely entitled, it's called your First Ammendment rights!!!

Talk to Julio and let us know what you guys figure out.

Sounds like folks were working on stuff and answering phones at the same time, I'm sure they don't want to leave you hanging but your order got a little messed up.

Cartek clutch seems to work really well Nineball is proof of that.

Thanks man I want to get this worked out but when u cant enjoy your car because someone said yeah we will get it to you and it never happens it really gets upsetting. I am not intentionally trying to bash them just stating the facts and trying to see If I am the only one having this problem.

I do however want a definite date of when it was shipped or if it has yet or I want my money back.

And by the way I never said I thought the clutch was crap. I like the clutch, not the customer service. So don't try to go that route.

ChadOO, please start a new thread when you have an update.

Guys, there is nothing wrong with reporting great or dismal customer service.

But we don't need excessive profanity on a tech board.

This one gets a *LOCK* I will forward this thread to Julio Hormilla from Cartek and we can keep moving forward.

If your car is a daily driver then by all mean get other clutches like Mcleod or whatever to prevent extended period of down time.
