Default How do you guys bleed the LS1 clutch??????

I've done a A4 to M6 swap & have yet to figure out a GOOD way to bleed the clutch. I've got mine functional, but I'de like to know what the "official" procedure is.

I can't see being able to do the pedal pump-open/close procedure since you can't have a hose on the bleeder & a wrench at the same time.

Pressure bleeding ruined my new Star disc (sprayed fluid from the threads (*&#&^$#)).

Vacuum will just suck air past the threads.

?????????

Cut a hole in the tunnel ???????

I just used a small breaker bar with a socket, while my dad "slowly" pushed the pedal down I kept the bleeder open. Closed it then repeated this. Fluid came out the bleeder obviously, and I wore most of it. None went into the bellhousing though.

You could also take a long socket with a big enough drive that has a hex base on it. Slide a piece of PVC tubing through it. Then use a reversable ratchet wrench. Sounds like the best way to keep the fluid out. You'll have to work up some sort of connector fitting on the tubing that fits underneath the size of the hex. Or just glue the tubing to the socket. Probably a couple dozen ways to cook something up if you need to.
