? bout clutch break in

Default ? bout clutch break in

i just installed a spec 3 , . i know its a 500 mile break in but i was wonder do u slip the clutch like u do on a stock clutch or drop the clutch. . also i have to take a trip in a few days. .is it going to be already with out the 500 break in mile ima try and put at least 200-300 miles.. is that ganna be ok

Do not...I repeat do not slip the clutch until it's fully broke in and even after it's broken it, minimal slip or say goodbye to the clutch fast. And I would raise the 500 mile to 1k to break it in. Give it a few half throttle pulls around the 500 mark but that's it. Don't go WOT until after you hit 1k. It will chatter a lot until you get to the 500-600 mile mark. Don't worry it will go away.

I did this the exact way when I broke mine in 4 months ago. The chatter is gone, and the clutch grabs like a ****. I still do not slip it though. That's a killer when it comes to these Spec clutches.
