Bellhousing Help!!!

so im replaceing my clutch for the first time in my baby and i cant figure out how the hell to get to the top two bolts! i have removed 6 and the two starter bolts. just the two up top! any help?!? tips? tricks? thanks guys!

Unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing, then the bellhousing from the block. To get to the top ones, the easiest way is to get a couple feet of extensions and attack it from the tail of the tranny, helps to have 2 people.

i pulled mine out all at once. It took a little wiggling to get it out, but it wasnt to bad. but to get the bolts out, like mentioned above your going to need lots of extensions. And yes it helps to have 2 people, one person to turn the wrench, and one person to hold the socket on the bolt.

JAY, is there any seals that you have to replace when removing the trans from the housing? and with the extensions, how can you get enough tq. on it?

you should be able to get it just fine with the tranny out. Also, be prepared to pry on the bellhousing a bit to get it out. Mine was pretty stuck on there.

I've got one long extension, (24 inches I think) that and a u joint works every time. You just have to reach up and make sure the socket is on good. And I only use six point sockets on 'em...
