Whats difference between 98-00 & 01-02 Slave cylinders?
I see two style slave cylinders for a LS1 ones for 98-00 and the other is for 01-02. Aparently the slave for the 01-02 superseeds the 98-00 model. What is the difference aside form the 01-02 being "better"

it was a change made in the hydraulics, not exactly sure but if you want to upgrade your clutch to the LS7, you will need the newer hydraulics, you wouldn't have any problems if you did go LS7, i just changed mine out a couple of weeks ago, everything works great, did your stock slave go bad???

No, accidently bought the wrong one. My car is an 02 like yours. The P/N reflects the 98-00 application. I upgraded to the LS6 clutch a while back (the real LS6 clutch, different P/N from what was currently in the car) but the car only had around 15k and the stock one was working fine and i was too lazy to bleed the system so I left it in. I dont know if I should hold on to this one or get rid of it, im guessing i should get rid of it as teh one in my car now is already the "better one" and if and when it starts to go i should put the same one in. I ws just trying to figure out if there was really that big a difference before i toss a perfectly good part and buy a new one for over $100 thats all
