Default T56 Acting Up In Second

Guys, my t56 is becoming very hard to get into second gear. It started out just being hard to downshift from third into second now it won't go into second at all unless I bang it against the second gear shift gate more then a couple of times. Third gear pops out more then it used to but this has always been a problem, but to a lesser extent before.

A while back the dealer gave me a new slave and master cylinder along with a clutch and I did the drill mod. Before that however the car would grind second gear occassionally (very often it I was getting on it. Do you think that this grinding destroyed my syncros. The car is going to the dealer on Friday with 29,000 miles on it. Thanks.

Sound like they will be rebuilding your trans, definately a sycronizer problem.

Or a 1-2 slider gear problem. Once your synchros go, you can mess up the slider gear teeth and it'll get difficult to go in to gear. The teeth will get dulled and shifted to one side, which makes engagement difficult.

The 1-2 slider gear is $149 from D&D. Been there, done that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
