Default VERY frustrated AGAIN

Okay, so a few months ago I replaced the clutch in my car with the LS2 flywheel and LS7 clutch kit. I also got a new master cylinder and slave cylinder. I had some issues when I put the clutch in, but it turned out it just needed to be driven a few feet (clutch wouldnt completely disengage, wouldnt go into gear with engine running, drove .5 mile and started working perfectly).

Now a few minutes ago, I got in the car, drove to AutoZone (which is 1 mile from my house), and got back in and it wouldnt go into any gear. I was able to nurse it home by putting it in first and starting the car. Tried to bleed the system, bled 10-12 times, still wont go into gear.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'll probably pull the trans tomorrow if bleeding it again does nothing.

Sounds like a throwout bearing/slave issue. Do you have any fluid leaking under the car?

Do yourself a favor, buy a vacuum bleeder.... best $70 you'll ever spend. Too many f body guys buy new hydro parts when they never bled the system out to begin with. Trust me I've had the experience here. The factory bleed screw is horrible especially if you're running an aftermarket master cylinder.

I'll try the mighty vac...my friend has one. Any chance it could be a pressure plate bolt?

I have a mightyvac, but how would I use it on the tranny bleeder? I would have to fit a hose over the hexagon valve and then I wouldn't be able to turn the screw to tighten when it is bled. Please explain. Thanks.

You put a medium sized tip on the tube, and stick it down in the clutch fluid resovoir, and bleed it from there, not the bleeder valve.

By any chance did you buy the master/slave cylinders from autozone?

I work at AutoZone...I did buy the master and slave cylinder there, both are genuine Luk brand (same as OEM).

I pulled the tranny a few minutes ago, LS7 clutch shows no wear and flywheel looks almost perfect...no hot spots, even though I have launched it MANY times since the install. All bolts were extremely tight, (I wish I didn't use red loctite).

I'm going to go ahead and install a new slave cylinder and master cylinder to see if thats the issue. This time I'll get them from a friend who works in GM parts.

I dont see why the LUK branded parts will give you a problem, post up if you figure out the solution/original problem.

Well it wasn't the pilot bearing...we'll see if the hyrdolics fix the problem.
