Pulling my trans and the dowel pin on the drivers side of the trans/bellhousing connection was corroded. The bellhousing cracked and fractured when I pulled the trans. I have a 98, will any LS1 T56 bellhousing fit or do I need model or year specific parts?

Any LS1/Fcar year bell will work. You must have really smacked it to break it.

I didn't smack it at all.....makes me wonder if it was cracked before.....the dowel pin on the pass side gave loose just fine...the driver's side one was much tougher, but not impossible. I was just wiggling it and it finally came out along with a chunk of bellhousing.
