Default clutch problem

ok my setup is all stock minus the flywheel being resurfaced. my problem is that if i start in 1st i can slam 2nd no problem but when i go for 3rd i get nothing...clutch gets stuck to the floor. If i start in 2nd i can slam 3rd no problem but when i go for 4th nothing pedal stuck to the floor again.

I have bled and bled and bled and bled and bled and bled and bled using a mighty vac and the traditional way. i have also done the drill mod

What could the problem be??
do i need to use a shim?
pressure plate not working properly?
time to switch to an auto?

HELP!!!!!!!!!

Due to the fact that you have bled the hydraulics again and again and the problem still persists it could certainly be that you both need a new slave cylinder. That is where I would start. Even if you aren't seeing any fluid leaking it could easily be bleading by within the system. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

There is no measurement to insure your need of the shim. Ultimately the Vette and F-body use the same parts but F-body's require the shim and Vette's generally do not. That being said, if you have an F-body then use the shim. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,
