Clutch *CLINK*??
Clutch *CLINK*?? Saturday Night as I was leaving to go out, I was driving down the road coming up to a light. When I pushed in on the clutch to downshift from 5th to 4th, I heard a loud *CLINK* come from the clutch pedal area.
I have looked around under the dash and under the hood and have not been able to see anything broken or bent. The car still goes in and out of gears and appears to drive fine. BUT, the rate in which the pedal engages has definately changed. Before this, The clutch would ease into place as I let up on the clutch, not fully engaging until the pedal was almost completely up. Now it feels as though the clutch is on or off, not much of an in between there anymore. Also, the clutch feels a little "mushy" (has a small amount of play in it) at the very top when the pedal isn't be pushed on. (you can rest your foot on it or push on it lightly and feel it move 1/2" or so fairly easily).
Does anyone have any ideas on what this "clink" could have been?
Car is a 2001 Formula with a ZO6 clutch that was put in february this year.

Re: Clutch *CLINK*?? I had the same thing happen in my car. Someone mentioned it could have been the return spring on the pedal popping off. Still engages fine (with some babying), but definitely feels like an import clutch pedal now.
Hopefully, the pressure returns when I put in my Ram clutch...
