Default Clutch engagement high or low, which is better?

LS7 clutch, LS2 flywheel, 01-02 slave, 98 master
Engagement was roughly below the half way mark.

Now I have the 01-02 master with drill mod.
Engagement is now just before the half way mark.

Let's say 0% is pressed in clutch pedal is on the floor, and 100% is clutch released foot off the pedal
The 98 master with no drill mod = low engagement around the 40% mark
01-02 master with drill mod = high engagement around the 60% mark

Which is more desirable, a high release point or a low release point?

While waiting on responses I'll bleed the clutch one more time.

Depends on how you like it really. As long as the plate fingers are not riding the TO bearing you are good to go.

I have a very high engagement point, i am just to lazy to go adjust the pedal, I like it high but not as high as mine is. ill lower it one of there days. If yours is near half you are good to go.

After bleeding it's still high, not sure if it's because of the drill mod or because it's a 01-02.

In theory, if the 01-02 pushes more fluid through (higher volume), regardless of drill mod, then the clutch should disengage early in the pedal travel and disengage late in the release. The same amount of fluid being pressed from the old master is now being pushed through in well before the full clutch pedal travel...

I think I'll drive it around first to see if I can live with such an engagement.

I'm partial to a high release as I want the clutch completely disengaged before switching gears.
