Here we go again. I only drive my car on the streets on weekends, bout 50 miles. I drag race the car on the track. I want to go with the Spec IV clutch....racing only version. I shouldnt have much of a problem with it should I?

I just put one on about 600 miles ago and it's working great on both the street and strip. I'm even using it on stock hydraulics. I've only got 5 track passes on nittos on it so far.

just give a 300+ mile breakin then go for it.

im using all factory hydraulics.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about the Mcleod twin disc, but the price is too high. And there are some serious rumors flying around about the clutches reliability.
I will make the Star Spec IV my LAST clutch. After this its a 200R4 racing tranny or a TH400 with my new stroker motor. This clutch will make it four clutches in 14,000 miles.
1.Stock went kablooie with addition of juice and Nitto's.
2.Ram clutch came apart in a race with 800 miles on it.
3.ZO6 Clutch (free) is going out, right after break in was done.
4. Star Spec being ordered friday.

i have a stage 3 w/ceramic disk and have 500miles on it now and i did 2 hole shots so far and that thing grabs like a **** <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> going to try it at the track this weekend i hope <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />
