It might be possible if you find a great deal on a T56. Check out the newest GM High Tech and if I remember correctly they had a price list of everything you need to complete the swap
yes it is. I did my complete swap for 1600 but I did all the work myself. And the best deals for kits are here on ls1tech. I still see kits for sale once in a while for around 1500-1800. Keep in mind most of these kits don't come with every last thing, you will still need pilot bearing, fluid, most likely switches for the pedals, most likely pigtails for the transmission sensors, either a donor computer or a tune, and either a harness or splice the A4 harness to work with the M6. I got my kit with everything minus these parts but those parts cost me about 200 total, 100 for the computer, about 100 for everything else. yes GM high tech performance has a good article how to do the swap with parts and prices, but they bought everything individually, try to get everything together from a donor car or someone on here.
