Transmission popping out of gear on turns
The transmission I got for the 6-spd swap has a little problem. I'm thinking it is just the shift fork, but wanted a second opinion before I tore into it.
The transmission pops out of third when it is left in gear during turns. Doesn't do it any other time, just in turns.
My thinking is the aluminum fork is worn, so I thought I'd just replace it with a steel fork and be on my merry way.
What do you guys think?

Calhoon, that's a possibility, but you'd really have to have a lot of motion for it to happen. I'd think a busted motor and possibly trans mount at the same time.
When I first got my TA I had this problem intermittently for a while, as you know GM released the TSB about it. Just so happens that a lot of people take corners in 3rd.

Check your transmission mount first. If its broken, it can cause the transmission to pop out of gear.
If the transmission mount is good (I'd reccommend upgrading to a poly mount anyway, they are much better) then chances are the problem is a bent shift fork inside the transmission. It seems to be rather common on the 3-4 fork.
