CAGS Solenoid removal
I'm installing an '02 LS1/T56 combo in my '57 Convertible. Given the size of the convertible x-member, the tranny is a tight fit, and the CAGS solenoid is a problem at the moment. Since I'll be running a custom PCM tune and harness, can I make a cover of sorts and just remove the solenoid all together?
Thanks,
Charlie

Hmm, glad you confirmed that, as I guess I'm talking about the wrong one. Is there a dumbass smiley somewhere?
The Reverse Lockout solenoid would be the one in the way.. Same conditions, can I take that one out as well?
Thanks,
Charlie

I have talked to a member over at thirdgen.org that used a Honda freeze plug to seal up the hole left by removing the reverse lockout solenoid...IIRC it was 32mm in diameter.
