Default clutch questions

I am going to be putting a Z06 clutch in my car, what all do I need, its a 2000 what upgraded hydralics do I need if any? How much will all this cost about?

If not a Z06 clutch then what for a bolt on car.

I dropped the clutch at near 6k last night at the track and traction held, clutch didn't <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

For similar money, I'd look at a spec stage 2 or 3 clutch. I have a factory Z06 clutch in my car and it doesn't seem to like my autocross starts on slicks (dot tires...with no tread left), I can feel it changing the engagement point after each event. It is not slipping at all, but I'm not sure how long it is going to last....I expect to be changing it soon (within a year or so). Just my thoughts.

I get GM parts at cost so a spec clutch is almost twice what a Z06 clutch is gonna cost me and my stock clutch held up pretty good considering how I drive, the clutch is still fine it just isn't taking 6k drops very well, and I don't want a clutch that is gonna bite too hard and take out my rear, I'd rather slip the clutch than blow my rear.

Since you put it that way.....

I'd gather up a Z06 clutch right away (and send me an extra one!!!!). Mine has not slipped (ever that I can think of) but autocrossers are less aggressive off the line than the drag guys, so I can't say how well that will apply to you. Good luck.

Per the Pace perfornamce website (www.paceperformance.com), you only need new hydraulics if you have a 98 or 99 car. You should be fine.
