High pitched whining 1st-3rd...quiet in 4th???

High pitched whining 1st-3rd...quiet in 4th??? I recently got my OFI front mount turbo setup running and everything was fine until I turned the boost up to 15-16psi. Now I have a fairly loud high pitched whining noise from the trans, only in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. DEAD QUIET IN 4th! 5th & 6th is either quiet or going to fast to hear anything. Noise is only there on accel, especially light throttle. Very annoying sound but at least it is gone in the higher gears.
I'm thinking I chipped a tooth off of one of the cluster gears but am open to any and all opinions or if anyone has had a similar noise concern before. Drives fine otherwise. Hopefully it will be ok later this week when I drive it 4 hours away to the beach!!!
Maybe Amber or Sixspeedsinc.com will see this and weigh in...

I was having a similar problem with my 01 SS last week and now the car will
not go into any gear at all, I am having it towed to a repair shop to diagnose. The noise just started last week and it drove perfectly fine no slipping or anything out of the ordinary at all???

Same here. Except mine is not stuck in some gear.
