Default Help on a problem

I have a 2000 Camaro SS, this morning when I shifted into second gear I heard a severe grinding noise, I pulled the car over and tried going again, whenever I feather the car like a grandma(I'm talking about 30 seconds to get up to 30mph) the car will be fine, I can shift into any gear and go any rpms as long as I go slow as hell, but if I even remotely put pressure on the gas pedal I get this severe, very loud grinding noise from underneath the bellhousing/clutch, does anyone have any idea of what that could be, any help would be extremely appreciate, car has 65xxx miles and original clutch

anyone? im having one of the mechanics at my workplace look at it tomorrow, hopefully i'll find out something useful

Shoot a PM to SixspeedsInc. They have diagnosed every problem I have had and have had the parts that I needed to fix 'em...

How does your clutch pedal feel? Soft/hard?

What type of shifter do you have? I would try some simple bleeding procedures first. I would say a T/O bearing. If your pedal feels fine then technically your T/O bearing has the biggest influence of the pressure plate fingers squeezing the clutch against the flywheel. How hard is it to put it into gear when sitting still? Are there any noises?

Try a fluid replacement in the clutch hydraulics first. That may be your problem. Drill mod if you havent done it yet while youre at it.

It's just the stock hurst shifter, and it feels normal putting the car into gear while sitting still, and there are no noises

The mechanic at work says its the clutch, how much does a new clutch+labor run?
