Default Slave cyl

I just put my motor back in my car and went to start it up for the first time. I installed a brand new spec 3 i pushed the pedal down and it would not go very far and being stupid i pushed a little harder and bent the slave cylinder. Any one think of a reason it would bend the slave pushrod?

The master cylinder rod under the dash you mean got bent?
Is the slave hooked up to the line completely?

Yeah I was gonna suggest the same thing.. Make sure the line is plugged into the slave. And make sure its seated properly.

the slave cylinder has a little metal thing you plug your master cylinder line into. the master cylinder is what is on the other side of your fire wall right behind your clutch pedal. pushing down like you did on the clutch when it is caught would bend the master cylinder rod, the slave cylinder has no rod.

The slave on a LT1 does have rod/plunger. Make sure you have the fork pushed all the way on your T/O bearing. If not, you'll bend that rod. Ask me how I know.......
