Can you get the car in gear with the car turned off?

Sounds like it's time for a new tranny or a rebuild. Mine got stuck in fourth and wouldn't come out, but my shifter stayed in fourth (are you saying you can move the shifter all around, but the tranny itself it actually stuck in sixth?). Hmmmm...I am curious to hear about this from someone who might know what's going on, also.

Sounds weird but it looks like the 5th-6th shift rail is not connected to your interlock plate. Which would explain why you move the shifter and grind while trying to go into another gear? Because its stuck in 6th and there is no way to disengage it. Iono I guess that would make sense to me, but I'm no professional at this. Or the guide bolt came off the 5th-6th shift rail? Only my guesses

Something's definetely not right if you can put your shifter into 4th gear (or any gear for that matter) and your tranny is stuck in 6th. Something has to be broken internally judging from the info given. Not really what you want to hear, but it's time to pull the tranny and tear it down.

Yeah not likely clutch. If you have air in line clutch wont disengage properly or maybe it has something to do with a shim..did your spec have some shim and did you use it if it did come with one? Still sounds like tranny problem to me. How is pedal pressure does pedal go to floor or is it normal.

Yeah man, sorry. Sounds like it's time to pull it apart and take a look inside. Definitely sounds like a tranny problem, not a clutch problem. I am still curious to see if anyone has had this problem before or knows what is going on, because I have never heard of this happening like this before.

sounds like a broken/bent fork, or messed up pads

Guys, this is not a shim or an air-in-the-lines issue...this sounds like a transmission issue. If he moves the shifter and the car doesn't change gears correspondingly then it is an internal trans problem (most likely fork or selector related). Let me know what you find. Thanks!!!
