im getting a rebuilt tranny from 6speedinc. and was going to sell the one in my car to my friend who has a 2007 mustang GT who has a t-5 in it. I know that the 2003-2004 cobra trannies bolt up to it. just wondering is our t56 the same as there t56? and if not what does he need to change?

No it is different.
There are numerous differances. Input shaft face plate, bell, tail housing etc.
It would be costly to modify to get it to work.
