Clutch sticks down after racing....the damn shaft broke.. Please read & help
I was on my way to my girlfriends house and got in a little race "and won I will add" but my clutch pedal dropped... I was like hmmm, Just put a new cartek clutch with adj master in so I got down there and found that the damn shaft broke.. It broke by where that nut is at that your supposed to turn to adjust the clutch...
What would be the best replacement? another 2001 master cyl?
Also, is this common or am i the first? What would cause it?

I'm not sure exactly which component broke(a picture might help), but you can easily replace a master cylinder. Well easy is a relative term. the swap is easy, bleeding those suckers is anything BUT! I got a McLeod Master Cylinder when I got my new clutch. I had a nightmarish time figuring out what was wrong with it. It was all about the bleed. I'm not sure if I'd highly recommend the McLeod M/C. Only cause I have only had it working properly for about three weeks and still and not used to it yet. Can't give it a ful endorsement till then. It's definietly better than the stock GM master cylinder though.
Hope this helps you out.

stock modified master cylinders seem to break that shaft all the time. Call cartek and complain and you'll get a new one (which is just as likely to break I assume). If you want an adjustible one that wont break, get the mcleod master cyl.
