How to remove a 5 speed tranny? A friend in France is in trouble with his 96 V6
Hi guys,
a friend in France is trying to remove a 5 speed manual tranny from his 96 V6 Camaro.
It's not clear if he can remove the tranny alone and then the bellhousing, or if he has to remove everything in one piece.
He can't reach the upper bellhousing bolts... that's why we are trying to understand how this thing is built.
Looking at the manuals it looks like the slave cylinder is bolted on the bellhousing. Is that correct?
He tried to pull on the tranny but it looks like it's locked to the slave cylinder. Just dirt? Wrong procedure?
Thanks!
