Default t-56 weight?

Curious how much they weigh so I know if the little 450 lb tranny jack will suffice.

I've removed and installed my T56 twice with that jack - it works great.

Dip Stick, I use a kwiklift as well. What I did was just use an old door I had around, cut it to 3' W x about 4' L and it's 2 1/2" thick. Then I just used the approach ramps that came with the kwiklift to guide the trans jack onto and off of the plank of wood. That gave me enough height to reach the transmission without any difficulty.

I have that jack and a kwiklift, and I used some sheets of plywood to raise the jack jack a few inches to that it contacted the tranny. The tranny jack is pretty nice and relatively cheap.

YEP!!!

I have this one

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=3185

It was on sale for $99, couldn't resist. Especially after I almost killed myself
(not really) removing it the last time

I picked up the dolly from Lowes, 900lb capacity and only $20.

You can easily make some spacers to fit between the casters to get the height you need.

I've loaned the jack to 2 friends of mine and they all LOVE it. Makes life SOOOOOO much easier.

I've weighed my T-56 @ 125lbs wet.

Quick Reply: t-56 weight?
