Default slave cylinder problem...

i'm building a hybrid...i connected the clutch line to my master cylinder and everything connected on the other end of the slave cylinder...i proceed to put dot 3 fluid into the reservoir and start pumping...i have one of those remote bleeder too...so i start pumping...fluid start flowing...kept refilling reservoir...closed the remote bleeder...start pumping...feel some pressure...then i lose it...i go to look at the slave cylinder and brake fluid ish coming out of the slave cylinder...on the throwout bearing portion...is my slave cylinder defective or the fluid just pushed it too far out and fluid overflowed??? it's a new cylinder too...

If you have a slave extension, then the fluid should only be draining from the end of the extension. It is leaking at the threads where the slave attaches to the extension?

Did you try bleeding that outside of the vehicle without any force on the TO bearing surface? Looks like you blew the "piston" out of the cylinder. You probably should just get another one rather than trying to repair that one.

Bleed after installing it and the trans is back on the motor...It's not much more difficult to do it on the car. Gravity bleed it first using your hand, then commence the 3 pump/bleed technique. Good luck.
