i have had my 01 z28 m6 for almost two months and when i put it in first gear i get a grinding sound same as if you dont put it into gear the proper way. i want to change the clutch soon regardless, and i have the fluids to change this weekend. it only seems to happen when the car has been driven for a while (like an hour on the freeway). or when im sitting in the drivethrough for a long time. outside the obvious problems like my synchros going out and my trans needing a rebuild, or clutch going out, or me needing to change the fluid what else could it be? any suggustions on beefing up the trans would be appreciated.
