M6 noise. Please help.

M6 noise. Please help. Newbie with a question. My 2002 formula M6 transmission makes a whistling/ whining sound in 6th gear. The sound is present under accelleration or steady gas pedal pressure but disappears when off throttle, the noise seems to "speed up" during accelleration as well. When the noise is present, if I apply pressure to the shifter either to the left or right the noise gets louder, and fades to "normal" when I release the side pressure on the stick. Any ideas?
dont worry bout that man thats normal thats just the 5th and 6th overdriv gears, eveybody has that noise, just have to get used to it, if u really dont like that noise there is something ebay i think sells, its lik a gasket or something that will eliminate the noise, check it out.
