Default What am I doing wrong tex owners???

Okay, so I have the textralia OZ700 and it gives me the squek when leaving from a stop. I did a search and it turns out that this is somewhat of a common thing for people, but most are able to cure it by heating up the clutch a little.

I've tried everything I can think of, and thought I was doing it just like the others explained. But I'm still getting the squek! It's not a big deal, but it is annoying and somewhat embarrising.

Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong or just give me the

Tex Squek Remedy for Dummies version on how to take car of this!

My 0z700 has never squeaked from day one. Not to sound dumb...but are you sure you don't just have a squeaky pedal/clutch master cylinder?

What kind of squeak are you refering to? Is it really loud or barely noticeable? I havn't had any sounds from my Tex since the day it went in.

Mine used to squeel and chatter. Apparently it wasn't broken in all the way. Someone on the board told me they had the same problem and told me to put it in 2nd gear from a stop, rev the engine up to 4000 and let the clutch out slowly, slipping the clutch until i got up to the speed. After I did that, the squeeling completely went away and most of the chatter went away.

When I let off the clutch from a stop (only from a first gear stand still-never rolling or in any other gears) if I don't give it any gas and just slowly let the clutch out to start a roll it makes this loud squek noise. The best way for me to describe it: It sounds like someone scooting (SP?) a chair across a linoleum floor...

Okay, thanks for the tip. I'll try that tonight and post back any results.
