Default How do you Bled the clutch after install?

I'm installing the RAM VDS kit this weekend along with an adj. MC and new slave. I've heard you have to bled the clutch fluid out. How do I go about doing that. What tools are needed, and where is the bled valve at. Thanks jordan

the bleader is right above where the connection for the slave cyllinder goes into the trans mission. to bleed the cyllinder there are a lot of diffrent methods. i like to open the valve w/a 1/4" drive ratchet and use a 7/16" socket and gravity feed the fluid through. just keep the resivor full and have a friend pump the pedal for about 5 reps at a time. after a steady stream comes out for about a minute, close the valve and pump the clutch insanely for about 1 minute and you're ready to go. good luck!

p.s. 4.5 quarts of ATF in the tranny. ;D

I'm about to tackle a clutch install, this will be my first. I'm planning on going with the 02 zo6 in my 98, and updating the hydraulics as well as a adjustable master cylinder. Do I need to drain the tranny before i remove it and then bleed the clutch, and after i bolt the tranny back up and refill it how do i put the fluid back in the clutch.

PS will the helms manual tell me all of this or does it just have diagrams of the parts.
