The steel shim I used is thin like gasket material and is used in cases where clutch engagement happens with pedal too close to floor. The same result can be had with an adjustable master. I decided to do both. I had the adjustable master already, and Speed Inc. recommended their shim (which is about 8 or 9 bucks) for the LS7 set up in the F-body. RAM has a shim, but I believe that SpeedInc's shim is thinner. Everything works great!

I loved my ls7 for a while, it's toast now after roughly 8k miles... gave out in a 2nd gear burnout on et streets, they were nice and wet too. Good luck with yours, I went RAM Powergrip HD this 2nd time around.

No shim on mine and there isn't any chatter. Swapped out to the upgraded slave, but am using the stock master. No need to upgrade the master until you need to. The stock master I figure should be able to hold up to 375ish, then it will need to be upgraded. Still breaking in the clutch and t-56 at the moment and have about another week or so until I'm going to rip on it. I got mine from SDPC which is a sponsor on here. Feels like stock and see what happens in a week(damn it).

I got mine from SDPC and they charged me like 468 total. I still dont see how it was that much since it was on the net for 399 and they also said that they were throwin the parts in at no charge so I dont see how it went from 438 for the clutch to 468? Go figure. They also didnt send the throw out with it that I asked for. Lucky for me the one in it was in good shape. It also lets off right at the floor to. How long should I wait and drive it before "testing" it out? Thanks guys

I waited all of 15 minutes so I could get off base before "testing" mine. I had it fully broke-in in about 2 hours
