Default M6 WITH 410

DOES ANYONE HAVE A M6 WITH A 410 GEAR, WHAT IS THE TOP SPEED AND IF ANY TRACTION PROBREMS.

I have 4.11s with a M6, and it tachs 2000 rpm @ 76 mph. Top speed should not be changed much; you should hit the stock rev limiter at around 155 mph or you could raise it a little and still hit 160 in 5th gear. Off course if you have the HP and torque to pull 6th gear the top speed could be higher if you reprogram the speed limiter. No traction problems with Michelin Pilot sports. Gears are a great mod for M6 cars.

a few things about 4.10's:
1) you'll be able to bark the tires in first through forth gear.
2) traction will now be noticeably worse when it is raining, but not really that much different on dry pavement (I also have METCO lower control arms and relocation brackets)
3) when you are under full acceleration and shift @5500 rpm, your next gear will begin pulling at about 4800 rpm, this keeps you within the powerband of the motor more of the time.
4) your rear end will now be weaker overall because you have less ring gear and pinion gear teeth in mesh than you did with your stock gears. When I did mine, I also added the T/A stud girtle and ratech solid crush sleeve w/shims.

ILLWIN do you still have 7.5 or stock rear how much drag racing have you done? is it still strong?

Yes, I still have the stock 7.5" rear with torsen differential, and so far I have only been running street tires (Kumho 275/40/17 @ 20psi) at the track. My best 60ft. to date is a 2.020. I have probably put 20 or so passes on the gears at the track, and I have had to go back into it two times for the same reason, the carrier bearing on the ring gear side keeps exploding, but it has only happened after I've been to the track. I'm still having some problems with the back tires hopping up and hitting the body on hard upshifts at the track, and I think that the shockwave sent through the rear end when this happens may be the cause rather than the way I've been setting it up.
