Six speeds inc... my expierence. long...
First off, I chose to rebuild the tranny myself as opposed to sending it off.
To put it bluntly my transmission was trashed, bent keys, non-existent dog teeth, a mainshaft that was on the verge of having the teeth sheared off in one area, melted fork pads on every fork, destroyed synchros, etc. In retrospect I probably could have used one of the 7 gears I replaced, but I just replaced everything. The list was extensive and expensive. It sucked from a monetary perspective.
I initially had difficulties using the website so I called to place my order. It took a couple calls before I finally caught Amber, but when I did, I was pleasantly surprised.
While placing my order she gave me tips along the way concerning what I needed to replace and what I didn't. She talks very quickly (so be ready) and was extremely helpful. I was very happy at this point. I placed my order at 3 in the afternoon and it was sent out that day, this was beyond what I expected. She even encouraged me to call back and ask for bearing part numbers if I decided to replace one as she has them memorized and I could grab them at the local auto parts store. That's right, not only was I told not to bother buying some items, she offered up part numbers for me to buy locally so I didn't need to wait for the shipping. I was impressed.
Now I believe that you only get a true picture of what a company is like when something goes wrong. Many times we see a company that appears to be great at first and then they screw the buyer when they (the company) make a mistake. This isn't the case with six speeds inc.
I received all my parts with free shipping in three days. I excitedly took all the parts out of the box to makes sure everything was there and I found that I had two reverse gears but no first gear. Also, I noticed that my brass fork pads were wrong, I had two sets for the 1/2 and 3/4 forks, but was missing the 5/6 and reverse pieces.
I was mildly annoyed of course, I didn't want to wait another week to put this thing together but figured when you replace everything in a tranny but the shift rails, bearings, and c clips that it's reasonable that a mistake would be made, after all it's A LOT of parts. I called and explained my problem and I was asked to put the parts in a box and they would send a shipping label so I could send the parts back to them. Then they overnighted me the correct parts. The parts were there the next afternoon. In less than 24 hours after my call I had the correct parts in my hands. I was amazed. The shipping label showed up a couple days later.
During all of this, on a couple occasions I PMd them to get advice on putting everything back together and on how to test to make sure everything was ok. Amber answered within the day, usually within a couple hours. I never got a reply that you should have sent it to us to rebuild etc. They were very helpful, free with information, and did everything possible to make a situation that could have been a problem a complete non issue.
They have exceeded my expectations in every way. I will order from them again in the future and will recommend my friends to do the same. If any of you have any doubts at all, forget them. The prices are good, the customer support is phenomenal, and their business ethic is impeccable.
A big thanks to six speeds inc. I wish all vendors followed your example.

They built mine as well. Over a year ago since it was done, and have had zero issues with it. They are a great company to deal with, and I second the statement that all vendors should follow their example!!

Jason,
Thank you very much for this "Long" experiance. Just kidding with you. I do talk way to fast. I will take note that I need to slow down. Glad we got you all taken care of and let me know if you ever need anything.
Thanks,
Amber

Built mine as well.. zero problems... went with the 1A package. I guess one question I have is when will I need another one? I don't drive the car much.. Just on weekends. I know it all depends on what kind of driving/racing I do but what's the average mileage?
