Default It won't go...

I just put a new clutch package in my TA, and as I was putting the tranny back on the tranny will only go as far as to allow the front of the release bearing to touch the fingers on the pressure plate. I took it back out and tried again and still no luck. What am I missing here?

My bad, I did some searching, I'll try tomorrow to see if any of the info I found helps.

Still won't go!!! WTF??? I'm getting within an inch, inch and a half and that's it. I have done this before, and I'm doing nothing different than the last time. Any suggestions?

are your input shaft splines lining up with the splines on the clutch disc?

Yeah, it just hangs up afterward. It's not hitting on the dowel pins yet, it's not that close.
