Some important T-56 questions...
So i finally managed to get ahold of a T-56 tranny that will work with my setup. For those of you who dont know, I'm doing a hybrid swap into an import car so I need a few questions answered.
The original LS1 I bought is a 1998 from a trans-am and came with the ECM and a 4L60E tranny which is getting sold. I decided on a T-56 instead and found one for a decent price.
Now here are my questions:
- I've heard that when swapping the automatic tranny for the T56, the ECM has to be flashed. How do I go about doing that, and would LS1edit help at all? I'm buying that soon.
Also, I need a clutch and flywheel. I suppose I need the GM hydraulics as well. What is a good clutch/flywheel setup to get that, when bought with the hydraulics, wont bust my pockets. I'm looking to cam my LS1 with the tr230, it will have true dual exhaust and custom intake if that helps for detirmining my approx. power.
I just need to order a clutch setup FAST so I can start my swap on monday, so any help is appreciated.
The Z06 clutch/flywheel package is a really nice price, right around what I'd like to spend. Would it be recommended for now and then later when I upgrade a bit more I could upgrade clutches??

We have several clutch sets available, is your LS1 engine stock? if so, the LS6 would be an excellent choice, also, if you want to save a little cash, we always have a good selection of T/O clutches from brand new cars. If you're interested I could give you a real good deal on one.
