Default '01 Clutch Replacement?

I had a problem with my clutch and the dealership fixed it for me under warrenty. The only thing is I'm not sure what they replaced and if they used the correct parts for a 2001 Camaro. Can someone help me out with these part #'s. I think everything is correct but the 12572731 (Flywheel). It's says on the invoice that they replaced the clutch but only give a part number for a flywheel. Don't the 2001's suppose to have the Z06 clutch? Here is how they have it listed on the invoice sheet.

REPLACE CLUTCH
PART NUMBER..............DESCRIPTION
12572731....................FLYWHEEL
12565145....................CYLINDER
14061685....................BEARING

When I ordered my clutch (sorry, I don't have the part number) all that was listed was "flywheel" but a call to the dealer confirmed that the whole assembly is included in that description.

The problem I'm having is that the part #12572731 (Flywheel) doesn't match the ZO6 Clutch P/N. I just want to know what they installed in my car. Anybody know what is P/N 12572731?

Well, the part number IS for a fly wheel but I'm not sure if it's the one for the Z06 clutch.

Go to
www.gmpartsdirect.com
and put in the part number. Call the parts department at your dealership and ask what is the part # for the flywheel by itself for the Z06 clutch.

The Z06 clutch package is #12570806 for clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. The slave # is 12565145 and that includes a bearing. The parts might be right because they didn't need the clutch itself. The hole package is about the same cost as the flywheel. But if they covered it under warranty (how the hell did you get them to fix clutch parts on warranty) then I would think that it's right, but you never now.

Good luck!

mann, you'd have to shoot me dead before I'd take my car to the dealer for warranty, especially on a clutch, you know they're just going to fuhk it up worse!
